Hi All, We are back and shooting again on Sat 3rd, 10th, 17th Nov, ( 24th tbc ) Make sure you are wearing warmer clothes and I suggest you bring gloves :-)   Congratulations to Kara Mitchell who came 1st in the British Shooting South East Schools Pistol Championships. Kara finished 5th in the first heat of two ( 155 in her 20 shots ). As only 8 qualify for the Final we had a nervous wait for the results of the 2nd heat. Luckily enough the first heat had all the better shooters.    The Junior Final is an exciting affair. They all shoot two targets of 5 shots each. After that they shoot 2 shots on a target. The one with the lowest score is eliminated. Another 2 shots and another elimination and so on. With 2 targets left Kara was 3 shots behind. With one target left it was all square. Kara stayed calm and shot 18 whilst her rival shot 15. Nerve wracking or exciting .. I don't know !!! She has to do it again now in January in the National Finals !! Congratulations also to Holly, Abby and Megan Batchelor on winning a silver team medal. Unfortunately they just missed out on the Intermediate individual Finals by finishing 9th,10th and 13th in the ranking list from the 3 heats but their individual scores were good enough to claim a team silver.   Congratulations also goes to Isabella Summers, another North Kent athlete winning medals this weekend.  15 year old Isabella has just won the Leon Paul Epee u20 ranking comp. Fantastic result.      The SE has a website that is not used as much as it should be. It is www.mpagbse.co.uk  If you have a story, report or results that you want published, school, club, individual, please send details to Lawrence Moss at lawrence@fawkham.com    If we do not use the website, we will lose it.   Bill
